Physical Education (Online) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the 2022 academic year, face-to-face classes for common physical education will be held with adequate countermeasures against the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, for students who are unable to attend face-to-face classes due to excusable circumstances, online courses using on-demand learning contents will be offered.

<Examples of circumstances regarded as excusable>

  • Having anxiety about COVID infection by commuting to school by public transportation or attending face-to-face classes
  • Living with a relative who has health concerns
  • Living overseas and unable to enter Japan

<Examples of circumstances NOT regarded as excusable>

  • Unwilling to take activity-based classes
  • Having an online (live) class before or after the physical education class

Students who are in excusable circumstances and wish to enroll in an online physical education class must read the following instructions carefully and complete the following form to apply for an online physical education class by Tuesday, March 22.

Based on the reasons for your application, the PE Center will decide whether to approve or disapprove your application for the online PE course and notify you of the decision.

In principle, applications for online class will not be accepted after April 1, 2022, when the course drawing results are announced.
